The Cornerstone Challenge: Day Three: Content to Encourage
This morning as I sat at my desk and looked around Charlie came inside and said mom I am bored. I miss my friends. I wish they could come over and we could go somewhere. I reminded Charlie I couldn’t change the way there parents felt about Covid-19 and wanting to keep there children at home.
There were ways we could see them and I encouraged Charlie to call all his friends and set up a chat online and then they could play Video Games together. I reminded Charlie that it wasn’t the same as being together but we could even drive by there homes and drop off notes of encouragement for them.
As school begins this morning and we could let them know we were Praying they would have a good and safe year. Then Charlie said mom what about the staff at my old school can we drop notes off on there cars and remind them it’s okay to not be okay and they we love them and wish them a wonderful year.
I let Charlie know I thought that would be a wonderful treat for the teachers and we could even leave a not of encouragement for the postman and our neighbors. When Charlie’s friends found out what we wanted to do they asked to join in.
I would like to invite you to join us in sharing encouragement with everyone you know because tomorrow isn’t Promised and we can all use a little kindness in this crazy world we are living in. In the meantime do you have other ways we can encourage people?
Don’t forget there is still time to join us in The Cornerstone Content Challenge by checking out the Facebook.
