Now that you have decided your ready to work from home but not sure how to get started. All you know is that you keep hearing check into Direct Sales. But your wondering what Direct Sales are.
So I would like to give you a brief description:
Most of us have heard of Tupperware or Avon? Well these are direct sales companies. With a Direct Sales company anyone can sign up to be an independent sales representative for a direct sales company. As a Direct seller you will work for yourself , not the company, so you set your own schedule and are paid a percentage of your sales.
Home parties are the most typical way that consultants share and sell the products. Once a party is booked and hosted the hostess receives some free or discounted products, and the consultant can book more parties with the people at the party.
Now with most Direct Sales companies parties can also be booked and held online and the hostess still receives free gifts based on the amount of sales and parties booked from her party. Online parties are also becoming very popular,. Consultants do very well with a online party.
Social media is another way that women have found to build a very lucrative direct selling business. This means using Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. Just make sure you take the time to learn your companies rules before posting on any sites.
Direct sales is very popular among moms of all ages because it is a way for them to connect with other moms and create new friendships. Only now days more men are joining Direct Sales companies as it allows them to be at home with there families.
For women we need this one-on-one time with other women without the kids! It’s nice to take a break once in a while from the hustle and bustle of being a mom. But with it being your own company you could take your children with you if you need to. As I have had to in the past.
So if you do not want to do parties which a lot of people do not care to do. Then you will need to find other ways to showcase your business so you might decide to do Craft Fairs.
Or you might decide you just want to take ads out in local papers or online and wait for people to contact you. Which might happen but I wouldn’t depend on it without doing other things as well.
So today I would like to invite you to check out a magazine that is geared for Direct Sellers and it is called Party Plan Companies and on here you can advertise your business. Now, this goes back to you have to spend money to make money. So be prepared to pay for the ads you want to take out.
As a Direct Sales consultant for Avon and Tupperware I would take a ad out on here as I plan on building my business online as it is easier for me than hosting parties. But I will also do Craft Fairs I host throughout the year. So as you see you can mix and match what you do to build your own business.
